    All Heritage Woodsmith products are handcrafted and shipped with care. In-stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days (Monday–Friday). You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

  • Custom Orders
    Custom-made items (including personalized/engraved pieces, special wood requests, and made-to-order boards) require additional time. Custom orders typically take 2–4 weeks to complete before shipping, depending on design details and current workload. If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us before ordering.

  • Flat Rate Shipping
    We offer Flat Rate Standard Shipping for $19.95 on most orders shipped within the United States.

  • Multiple Items
    If your order contains multiple items, additional shipping charges may apply due to weight and packaging requirements.

  • Carriers
    Orders ship via UPS or USPS, depending on size and destination.

  • Delivery Time
    Standard delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after your order ships.

  • Alaska & Hawaii / Special Locations
    Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or special destinations may require additional shipping charges. If needed, we will contact you before shipping.

Returns & Exchanges

We gladly accept returns on unused, non-custom items within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Item must be unused

  • In original condition

  • Returned in original packaging when possible

Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Custom / Personalized Orders

Because each Heritage Woodsmith board is handmade and often made-to-order, custom-made or personalized items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Examples include:

  • Custom sizes or designs

  • Custom wood combinations

  • Laser engraving (names, dates, logos, etc.)

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Photos of the item

  • Photos of the shipping box/packaging

We will work with you to make it right through a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the situation.

Natural Wood Disclaimer

Wood is a natural material, and every piece is unique.
Variations in grain, color, and character marks are normal and part of what makes your board one-of-a-kind.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because many items are handmade or made-to-order, returns are not accepted on custom or personalized items.
If there’s an issue with your order (damage in shipping, wrong item, defect, etc.) please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and I’ll make it right

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your item arrives damaged, please email me within 48 hours with photos of:

  • The damaged item
  • The packaging/box
  • The shipping label
    I’ll work with you to replace or resolve the issue quickly.
When will I get my order?

In-stock items usually ship within 24–48 hours.
Made-to-order items typically take 5–10 business days to complete before shipping, depending on the project and current order volume.
Custom projects may take longer. If you need something by a specific date, please include that in your order or request form.

Where are your products manufactured?

Heritage Woodsmith is based in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Everything is designed and crafted in my shop and shipped directly to you.
